EA Announces EA Sports FC Pro World Championships

Earlier today EA announced EA Sports FC Pro. The best of the best will go 1 on 1 in a weekly competition, to fight for a spot in the Pro World Championships. Hot on the heels of our matchday highlights, we now bring you all the information EA released today.

EA Sports FC 24 is about to get real competitive

FC Pro is going to have three stages. The FC Pro Open, FC Pro Leagues, and then the FC Pro World Championship. The end goal is to qualify through the Pro League and Open, to attend the World Championship. The competition will start right on the release day of EA Sports FC 24 and finish in early February. The first road to the Championship is through the Open which will run for 8 weeks allowing everyone with the game to participate. Whoever climbs to the top of the ladder in their region after 8 weeks will be in line to qualify for the tournament. Those underneath will be able to contend in an online regional competition with prize pools.

Between February and April, the League Partner competitions will begin. EA revealed another 28 players will be coming through here to attend. This is where players can represent their favorite teams on the pitch, working with EA and the Football League Partners working with them. Players can try to qualify through both the Open and the Pro Leagues. The final hurdle will take place between February and April, a fight to crown national champions at the qualifiers tournament. 64 people will arrive and the top 16 will have to win themselves an invitation to the World Championship. All of this leads to a Pro World Championship taking place next June. This is the first time EA has hosted an event of this kind, and the announcement comes with a promise of more details to be revealed in the coming weeks.
